College football scores, games, updates: Colorado at UCF and more

The biggest game of the season (so far) is just around the corner.

No. 2 Georgia will face No. 4 Alabama on Saturday night in the first top-five matchup of the season. It’s the last of four ladder matches in Week 5.

However, the biggest result of the day may have been achieved early on Saturday. Kentucky took on No. 6 Ole Miss in Oxford and stunned the Rebels 20-17 in a back-and-forth duel that ended with a missed field goal that would have tied the game.

Here are the biggest games remaining. Follow along as we break down all the action below.

Time: 7:30 p.m. | TV: NBC | Line: Penn State -18 | Overall: 47.5

The Illini defeated previously undefeated Nebraska in overtime in Week 4, marking just the third time since 1951 that Illinois has won its first four games. A big reason for this is the improved play of former Ole Miss QB Luke Altmyer. Can he keep up on the road against Penn State? Against the Nittany Lions, opposing QBs only average 144 yards per game.

Time: 7:30 p.m. | TV: ABC | Line: Georgia -1.5 | Overall: 48.5

This clash of perennial playoff teams features two Heisman contenders at quarterback. No QB is responsible for more TDs per game than Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, and Carson Beck was considered the favorite for the award for much of the offseason. Beck’s 2024 season hasn’t lived up to the Heisman hype, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Beck have a big game.

Time: 10pm | TV: FS1 | Line: Boise State -7.5 | Total: 64.5

Washington State is on the precipice of the AP Top 25 after a 4-0 start with wins over Texas Tech and Washington, and QB John Mateer is the winner. But the Cougars’ defense is allowing nearly five yards per carry – that’s an appetizing statistic for Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, who leads the country with an average of 10.5 yards per carry. There’s a reason he’s the non-QB with the best Heisman odds (+2000) at BetMGM.

Live103 updates

  • Colorado stops UCF at the goal line

Any hope of a Knights comeback was just dashed by a tough goal line stand by the Buffs.

  • Final: USC 38, Wisconsin 21

Wisconsin led 21-10 in the third quarter before USC completely overwhelmed the Badgers, scoring the final 28 points to escape with the Big Ten victory.

  • Final: Oklahoma 27, Auburn 21

Auburn couldn’t get much going in the last second, and No. 21 Oklahoma rallied from a deficit of 11 in the fourth quarter. True freshman Michael Hawkins wins in his first start for OU and Auburn falls to 2-3.

  • Final: Notre Dame 31, Louisville 24

Louisville had the ball at midfield with a shot to tie the game with under a minute left, but an inexcusable delay of game penalty on 4th-and-1 made it much more difficult. Incomplete on the 4th and 6th.

The No. 16 Irish can look for a big win over No. 15 Louisville.

  • Oklahoma takes the downs

OU sacked Auburn on 4th-and-11 and that’s pretty much it.

Oklahoma will complete the comeback victory.

  • End of 3rd quarter: Colorado 41, UCF 21

The Knights don’t help each other much on offense or defense. After allowing a long drive for a score, they simply turned it over on a fumble.

  • touchdown USC

The Trojans just put the game on ice with a pick-6 from Mason Cobb. That’s enough for the Badgers.

  • Touchdown Colorado

The Buffs stormed right down the field and offered their own defense, capping a six-play, 65-yard drive with a 10-yard TD pass from Shedeur Sanders to LaJohntay Wester.

Auburn leads 21-16 with 8:32 to play.

  • Intercept Colorado!

Who else but Travis Hunter?!? The two-way star is an incredible jumper and it’s hard to see a way back for UCF even though the game is only halfway through the third quarter.

  • Notre Dame touchdown!

Riley Leonard’s short pass to Jeremiyah Love results in a 32-yard score. It’s the first points of the second half for the Irish, and that could almost mean that point is gone.

31-17 Notre Dame lead. 9:16 to play.

  • Touchdown USC!

The second half was all Trojans. The final score came from QB Miller Moss, who was bent over at the goal line but ultimately scored.

  • Louisville kicks FG to take the lead

Big sequence for the Cardinals after it turned out Notre Dame scored a scoop-and-score touchdown after Louisville’s QB Tyler Shough fumbled, but the play was converted into an incomplete pass.

Brock Travelstead hit a 56-yard field goal right after.

Notre Dame’s lead decreases to 24-17 with 11:25 minutes left in the game.

  • UCF opens the 3rd quarter with a missed FG

The Knights had a chance to cut into Colorado’s lead, but Colton Boomer missed the long field goal attempt and the Buffs maintained their lead at 27-14.

  • Auburn extends lead over Oklahoma

Payton Thorne throws his third TD pass of the day a week after being benched, giving the Tigers a 21-10 lead over No. 21 Oklahoma early in the 4th quarter.

  • End of 3rd quarter: USC 24, Wisconsin 21

The Badgers will open the fourth quarter. Since the halftime break it has only been Trojans.
