Nebraska benefited from a road trip to West Lafayette to play a Purdue football team whose homecoming was less than celebratory, culminating in a third straight loss.

It took Nebraska almost three full quarters to score, but when the Huskers did, they showered a poor Boilermakers team with a 28-10 victory.

Enough with improved weapons. Injuries have meant some haven’t been able to play on the field, but you can’t sell guys with the depth you need and have no answer if a few playmakers aren’t in the lineup.

Purdue has scored 10 points in its last two home games. Seven of them suffered a one-sided defeat when the game was out of reach.
