This Republican politician “borrows” his wife and children for a photo shoot

republican Derrick Anderson who is running in a tight race for Virginia’s seventh congressional district, was seen with his family at a photo shoot. It was strange because the woman he was seen with was not his wife and the children were not his – he had borrowed everything from his long-time friend. Anderson is engaged but not yet married, has no children and lives with his dog.
The New York Times contacted Anderson about his fake photo shoot and a spokesperson criticized the focus of the footage, saying that every other candidate in America was featured in similar photos. The spokesman said there was no claim anywhere that it was Anderson’s wife or children. Anderson was with his “female supporters and children.”
“The footage has not yet been used in any advertising. It can be found on Mr. Anderson’s official YouTube page and is also posted on a website funded by the National Republican Campaign Committee, where the organization provides resources to independent outside groups that are not permitted to communicate directly with campaigns, however, they can use the information published there to guide their paid media strategy,” NYT reported.

The report said Republican candidates want to win support among women given the abortion controversy and many Republican leaders’ general attitudes toward women. GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance His previous “childless cat ladies” comment, which seemed to upset many women, drew criticism.
Social media users trolled Anderson for borrowing a family. “You have a beautiful family. Where did you rent it?” one asked. “Dude, this deception just ruined your campaign. “Be honest, that’s all people want,” offered another piece of advice.
“Childless Dog Man had to borrow a friend’s family to make his ad fit the JD Vance narrative…” wrote one.
“Align with your values, not the Republican lies. If you are a moral candidate, you will be supported. Don’t fall for Vance’s claims about the childless cat lady. Sad, very sad and shameful for you,” wrote another.
“Dear @JDVance: You said that people without children “don’t really have a direct stake” in our country. Do you think this applies to GOP candidate Derrick Anderson, who has no children but is trying to mislead voters by renting? “A family in his pictures? Asking for a friend,” one user prompted JD Vance to respond.
