Watch Cole Palmer’s ‘Four Goals’ against Brighton & Hove Albion in 20 minutes

Cole Palmer puts together a good case for being named Young Player of the Year in a row. He became the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League game.

The 22-year-old Chelsea striker has already had seven goals in five appearances for the Blues in the Premier League. After Chelsea lost 1-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge, the former Manchester City youth player decided to take the team on his side.

Palmer scored his first goal of the day from close range after Nicolas Jackson opted not to shoot and instead passed the ball to Palmer for an easy finish.

Chelsea raced down the pitch shortly after the equalizer when Jadon Sancho raced into the penalty area before being dragged to the ground by a Chelsea defender. Palmer stepped up and scored the penalty from 12 yards out to give the Blues the lead

Palmer then doubled Chelsea’s lead, scoring a stunning free-kick for a 10-minute hat-trick. Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen could only try to keep out the perfectly placed shot as Palmer celebrated his third goal of the game with the Chelsea fans.

Shortly afterwards, however, Brighton equalized through Carlos Baleba. Palmer didn’t allow the Seagulls to get any closer and scored the fourth goal in 20 minutes, making it 4-2 in Chelsea’s favour. Palmer took advantage of Brighton’s high defensive line in the first half to give the Blues their best chance of three points.
