Well, I’ll say it: Virginia Tech got screwed last night

Well, I’ll say it…Virginia Tech was robbed in Miami Gardens last night. Yes. I said it. And I mean it.

Let me also say this before all the Hurricanes fans grab their pitchforks and head to my email: I was glad the Canes won. I had money for the Canes. I chose the Canes. I love Cam Ward, even though he was pretty stinky last night.

Other than that, Virginia Tech got screwed. I’m sorry, but that’s what they did.

Should that last play initially have been counted as a touchdown? Probably not. Seemed a bit silly in real time.

But it was. Right or wrong (wrong), it was like that. And once it was finished, it should never have been knocked over. Because there was simply no way anyone in the ACC command center could see a clear angle that would make it easy to overturn.

We’ve all seen the same things she’s seen, and nothing has caught my attention in the slightest.

I was in a group chat with a few degenerates during the chaos – the Miami team total was sweaty – and half of us thought it would be overturned while the other half thought it would stand.

And I think – according to the letter of the law – that means it should have stood. Inconclusive is the catchphrase I think all leagues use.

That wasn’t conclusive. First of all, wrong, but still not conclusive.

Sorry, Canes fans!

I’m at Virginia Tech!

Love him or hate him – and I’m assuming you love him because you’re on his website and reading this award-winning article – you can’t argue with Clay not Know college football. That’s how he got into this business.

He also has a huge college football fan base. So those 20,000 votes are ALL college football fans, and as of 8 a.m. this morning, the poll is 65-35 in Virginia Tech’s favor.

It’s election season after all – so I trust the polls!

Look, this has nothing to do with Miami. I made $100 last night because Cam Ward found a way to score 38 points despite turning it over a billion times. I’m doing well.

I just think Virginia Tech got a job. That’s all. The referees initially gave them a gift by calling it a touchdown, even though that certainly wasn’t clear. But right or wrong, they called it a touchdown on the field.

And after watching a dozen different replays over the next 10 minutes, I’m not sure – if you’re completely honest with yourself – that you could honestly say that you think the call should be overturned .

Some believe it was an inside job by the ACC, as Miami is their only hope of being a true championship contender this season. Perhaps. College football is corrupt?! No shot!

Maybe there was another super secret corner they didn’t show us. Maybe Trump will release this here in a few months. Who knows?

I’m just here to tell you that Virginia Tech got hosed. I’m man enough to say it, and I’m man enough to endure the backlash.

Give me your best. Or your worst. I don’t care. Anyway, I’m right.
