Atlanta Braves News: Max Fried starts Friday, Arizona Fall League, more

Hurricane Helene has resulted in a tough schedule for the Atlanta Braves, starting tonight with a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals. The Braves are coming off two unexpected days off, with Chris Sale scheduled to start on Wednesday, followed by Max Fried on Thursday.

Instead, the Braves will send Max Fried against the Royals tonight in hopes of getting Chris Sale ready for a possible elimination game next week. There are many possible scenarios as we head into the home stretch, but the decision to save Sale could be what keeps Atlanta’s season alive.

The series begins tonight at 7:20 ET.
