The 2024 Presidents Cup is underway and the United States has opened up a big lead after winning all five games by four balls in the first round on Thursday. A comeback by the international team seemed unlikely given that the Americans were considered heavy favorites, but Friday’s second-round foursome made this event interesting early in the weekend.

Golfers from the U.S. and international teams alternated shots during the five games scheduled for Friday at the Royal Montreal Club.

US captain Jim Furyk bet on a well-known Ryder Cup duo with Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay in round 2. Max Homa and Brian Harmon, who went 2-1 together at the Ryder Cup last year, made their 2024 Presidents Cup debut together on Friday after they will not play in Round 1. International team captain Mike Weir notably sat out Tom Kim, one of three golfers on his team ranked in the top 25 of the world golf rankings, after Kim lost to his friend Scottie Scheffler on Thursday.

But after the Americans took a 5-0 lead after Round 1, the international team leveled things up before a dramatic weekend of golf.

Here’s what you need to know about Friday’s second round of the 2024 Presidents Cup, including matchups, pairings, start times and results:
