Official: AC Milan vs. Lecce starting eleven

AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has named his starting lineup for today’s game against Lecce at the San Siro, and it is the same as the team that beat Inter last Sunday.

Fonseca has opted to name an unchanged defensive department of Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez in front of goalkeeper Mike Maignan They performed well against the Nerazzurri.

Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders remain in the engine room as double pivots and the wingers will be Christian Pulisic on the right and Rafael Leao, while Tammy Abraham retains his place up front alongside Alvaro Morata.

There were reports that Morata was not 100% fit during the build-up game due to bursitis and would therefore start on the bench, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek taking the Spaniard’s place, switching to a more standard 4-2-3-1, but he passed a late fitness test.

Noah Okafor is the latest player to miss out with a minor injury, while Davide Calabria is still out with a knock. Ismael Bennacer, Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Sportiello continue to recover from their respective surgeries.
