Man hit by tram and fatally injured

Dortmund. A man is hit by a tram in Dortmund-Aplerbeck and fatally injured. The cause is still unclear, the police are investigating.

There was a serious accident on Marsbruchstrasse in Dortmund-Aplerbeck shortly before seven on Friday morning. A pedestrian was hit by a tram at Allerstrasse and fatally injured.

The further circumstances are currently unclear. A police team secured extensive evidence at the scene of the accident. The police investigation is heading towards suicide. Psychological supervisors take care of the implementation on site.

Marsbruchstrasse had to be completely closed to traffic until around 10 a.m.
