Do you want the roads of South Carolina closed because of Helene? Check out this interactive map

Driving on South Carolina roads has become more treacherous due to Tropical Storm Helene.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation recommended Friday morning that residents avoid travel if possible. The department had received many reports of downed trees and debris on roads caused by strong winds from Helene.

“SCDOT crews will begin clearing the roads as soon as it is safe to do so,” the department said in a news release.

For those who must travel, SCDOT asks to use caution and report any fallen trees or debris directly to the department at 855-467-2378.
