The wait to watch ‘Devara’, the latest Jr NTR starrer on OTT, may be shorter than you think! The action drama, which hit theaters on September 27, will reportedly make its OTT debut 50 days after its theatrical release. A report from Aakashvaani claims that the Jr NTR film will have a theatrical run of almost seven to eight weeks. The film will then be made available on OTT platforms. Films usually hit OTT within four weeks of their theatrical release.

Where can you stream “Devara”?

According to reports, the Jr NTR-Janhvi Kapoor starrer will premiere on Netflix. The streaming giant reportedly paid Rs 100 crore for the digital rights to the action spectacle. However, these reports have not yet been verified by the manufacturers.

About “Devara”

Helmed by veteran Telugu director Koratala Siva, Devara is Tollywood star JR NTR’s first solo release in six years. It also marks the Tollywood debut of late icon Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor. The film also features Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in the role of the main antagonist. The film follows the journey of Devara, the leader of Yerra Samudram, a conglomerate of four hilltop villages near Ratnagiri.

He takes payment for looting the container ships on behalf of Muruga (Murali Sharma) along with Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan) and Narappa (Srikanth). One day, when Devara finds out that the shipment contains weapons that will be used against civilians, he decides to stop the deal, which infuriates Bhaira. Next, Bhaira plans Devara’s death along with Narappa.

Twelve years later, Vara’s (Jr. NTR) child becomes a coward. Bhaira then sends Vara to the sea to steal a shipment of weapons. What happens next is the crux of the film. Apart from Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Devara also stars actors like Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Shruti Marate, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Chaithra Rai and Abhimanyu Singh.
