Pilgrimage Festival’s Americana Music Triangle Presented by Hardee’s Celebrates Ten Years of Growth – The Local Voice

A record 15 community partners will join the outstanding program, which includes musical performances, a worship service and more

What began in 2015 as a 10-by-10-foot tent celebrating Americana’s musical roots in the Nashville-Memphis-New Orleans triangle has grown into a cornerstone of the festival Pilgrim music and culture festival. Ready for 28-29 SeptemberThis year marks the tenth anniversary of the festival.

The festival Americana Music Triangle (AMT) presented by Franklin, Tennessee-based Hardee’s, now housed in an 80-by-130-foot tent, has become a must-visit venue with community partners from throughout the Southeast, a diverse and talented selection of artists, and ever-popular performers is developing a “Down Home Church” service that opens Sunday at Pilgrimage.

“The AMT Tent is more than just a showcase for music; “It has become a platform to celebrate the musical heritage of the Americana Music Triangle,” he said Pilgrimage co-producer Brandt Wood.

The Americana Music Triangle was Franklin’s own idea Aubrey Preston. The AMT Tent is an integral part of the pilgrimage and features performances and exhibitions that celebrate the musical genres that emerged from this region. Mike WolfeThe Ancient Archeology team works with the Pilgrimage Decoration Department to create an environment that transports participants to the Gold Record Road of the Americana Triangle.

“I worked with Aubrey for several years to establish the concept of the Americana Music Triangle,” he said Bubba O’KeefeClarksdale (MS) – Coahoma County Tourism Director. “When the opportunity arose to work with Pilgrimage to promote our region’s musical roots, I was all in. It has been gratifying to see the growth since day one and its impact on our community and others.”

Visit Franklin, the tourism office for Williamson County, has also been a supporter and participant of the AMT tent since its inception 10 years ago.

“The Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival brings international visitors to Franklin each year to celebrate music,” said President and CEO of Visit Franklin Maureen Haley Thornton. “For a decade, the Americana Music Triangle has been highlighting the Southeast’s unique musical heritage and showcasing its vibrant communities in a revival-style tent, and we are incredibly proud to help bring this to festival-goers.”

This year, 15 communities and organizations will be represented in the AMT tent: State of Alabama; Arkansas State; Huntsville, Ala.; Visit the Shoals; Madison, Indiana; Bluegrass Music Museum & Hall of Fame (Owensboro, Kentucky); Clarksdale, Mississippi; Visit Cleveland and Greenwood, Mississippi; Visit Oxford, Mississippi; Experience TN; Nashville’s Big Backyard/Americana Music Triangle; Visit Franklin; Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Tupelo, Mississippi; And Visit Mississippi. New for 2024 is Nikki Lane’s high class hillbilly pop-up shop featuring a curated selection of vintage clothing and accessories.

Once again, the AMT stage will be packed with legendary artists. Some of the planned measures include The Band of Heathens, HeavyDrunk, Willi Carlisle, People on the Porch, Theo Lawrence And Wyatt Ellis on Saturday. On Sunday, the day begins with a special service, followed by an exciting program that includes, among other things Charlie Worsham, Hippies and Cowboys, Lamont Landers, Cassandra Lewis, Earnest “Guitar” Roy And Owensboro Bluegrass.

Hardee’s is the home of Goodness in the Making and has been bringing people together with classic flavors and hometown pride for more than 60 years. In addition to Sunday’s can’t-miss programming, Hardee’s is serving free hand-breaded chicken biscuits, cinnamon and raisin biscuits, Original Cold Brew and Vanilla Cream Cold Brew at the AMT Down Home Brunch.

“Some of the most legendary musical performances in our history have taken place on the ATM stage,” Wood said. “Who can forget Butch Walker blowing the roof off the tent or last year’s jam with Charlie Worsham? These, combined with other great blues and blue grass music and unique elements like the Down Home Church, make the AMT Tent the versatile place to be during the pilgrimage.”

The Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival returns to Harlinsdale Farm Park in Franklin, Tennessee on September 28-29. In celebration of the 10th anniversary, the festival’s headliners for 2024 include: Dave Matthews Band, Noah Kahan, Hozier And NEED TO BREATHE with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Lukas Nelson, The Brook & The Bluff, Allison Russell And Chance Pena on Saturday (September 28th) and COIN, Stephen Sanchez, Better Than Ezra, Myles Smith, The Cadillac Three And Sierra hull on Sunday (September 29th), in addition to the AMT performances.
