Micah Parsons’ three-word message to Dak Prescott amid Cowboys’ injury scare

Micah Parsons didn’t appear to be concerned about his left ankle after he was carted off the field with 3:30 minutes left in the Cowboys’ 20-15 win over the Giants on Thursday night.

The Dallas linebacker was injured rushing toward the passer when Giants guard Greg Van Roten fell on his leg.

“I’ll be good,” Parsons told Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after the game.

According to The Athletic, Parsons added that he was in pain but would be fine.

The three-time Pro Bowler was seen limping to the team bus after the game.

Parsons said initial X-rays taken at MetLife Stadium came back negative and he will undergo an MRI scan on Friday.

“Right now I just froze it. I know very little,” Parsons said, sitting at his locker with his left ankle taped. “I have an MRI (Friday) and will try to come back next week.”

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported after the game that there were no signs that Parsons had suffered a serious injury.

Prescott said Parsons appeared to be in good spirits after the game.

“He’s a damn good player. “A great playmaker,” the quarterback said. “I don’t watch much, but he made a huge run stop right there on one of his last possessions. And honestly, I just hope it’s nothing serious.

“There aren’t many doubts or negative thoughts going through my mind, so I didn’t even want to think about anything important. I hope my thoughts are correct and it’s something small. He seemed to be in a good mood, so I’m in a good mood too. We are in good spirits.”

Parsons, who finished with two tackles, was carried off the field with his left cleat removed and his foot bare.

The Cowboys medical staff attended to him on the field and he limped to the sideline under his own power.

Dallas improved to 2-2 after defensive woes in losses to the Saints and Ravens in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively.

The Cowboys will face the Steelers (3-0) on October 6th in Pittsburgh.
