Pink denies deleting tweets after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest

Following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ incarceration last week, theories circulated on social media that some artists – notably Usher and Pink – had deleted their X accounts to remove any incriminating data related to his ongoing legal troubles could.

But Pink quashes these rumors and took to her Instagram and Facebook accounts to dispel speculation that she recently deleted her tweets. “I don’t know why I made headlines this week but I deleted my Twitter account on February 6th!!!” she wrote. “There is no truth to the rumors that have been spread this week and although I have met people in passing, I am not associated with any of the people mentioned.”

To support her claim, the pop singer posted a screenshot of her last tweet on her X account before hitting the delete button. “This account will self-destruct in two minutes,” she wrote on February 6. “Do it!!!!!!”

Conspiracies between musicians and actors are circulating on social media after Combs was held without bail on sex trafficking and extortion charges. Some have noticed that Usher, who has spoken in the past about attending Combs’ parties and collaborating with him on music, deleted all of his tweets last week.

But Usher quickly clarified that he had indeed been hacked and that social media users were inflating the story. “The account was hacked and damn y’all ran with it!” he wrote on Sunday, shortly before one of his four shows in Los Angeles. “See you tonight at the Intuit Dome.”

Combs is currently in prison after a judge deemed him a flight risk on his various charges. No trial date has been set for his case.
