Malik Nabers injury update: Giants WR taken to locker room in fourth quarter vs. Cowboys

Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers has impressed early in his rookie season with the franchise. He was the dominant player they believed he could be. Unfortunately for New York on Thursday Night Football, he was heading to the locker room late in the fourth quarter after falling to the ground off the field and landing helmet face first.

Nabers was slow to recover after the game. Spent some time in the medical tent and was examined by trainers and medical staff before finally heading to the locker room. Shortly afterward, the Amazon Prime broadcast updated his status, with Al Michaels saying Nabers had a concussion.

The Cowboys won the Thursday Night Football game 20:15 against the Giants. Dallas then secured the victory Amani Oruwariye had an interception in the final seconds.

Not without an excellent performance from Nabers. He had 12 catches for 115 yards before leaving the game with a concussion.

In the first four games of his NFL career, Nabers recorded 35 catches for 386 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was praised by former LSU star Odell Beckham Jr. on Thursday night.

Nabers played a crucial role in leading the Giants to a 21-15 victory over the Cleveland Browns on September 22nd. He had eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets. The former LSU star also shined against the Washington Commanders on September 15th. Although the Giants lost 21-18, Nabers had 10 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown on 18 total targets.

Head coach Brian Daboll was expected to be force-fed targets this season, and the Giants head coach did not disappoint. Nabers has posted double-digit targets in three of his four games so far in his rookie season. He will probably have to miss a week due to his concussion, but we need to make sure he gets back on track quickly. Because he’s a ridiculously big part of New York’s offensive attack. And it makes perfect sense when you look at his crazy testing numbers and college performance heading into the league.
