Four keys to winning Week 4 in fantasy football

Yahoo Fantasy contributor Sal Vetri shares his four insights that will set managers up for success in Week 4, including the Sketchy Spot, Sleeper and Pickup and Play of the week.

Video transcript

These are four key takeaways that will help you win your Week 4 fantasy football matchup, starting with this week’s pick-and-play.

And that’s Arizona Cardinals second-year receiver Michael Wilson. Wilson just had the best performance of his career in Week 3, catching eight of nine targets for 64 yards.

And he currently benefits from playing opposite Marvin Harrison Jr., who is drawing a lot of defensive attention.

That wasn’t the case last year, when Wilson played against the likes of Ron Elmore and Greg Dorsch in his rookie season and, in Week 4, faced the Commanders who allowed the second-most passing yards per game.

You can start this week.

Finding the No. 2 spot is the best spot of the week for rookie receiver Roma against the Los Angeles Rams’ secondary.

Oz is coming off a game-changing performance in which he rushed for over 100 yards with a touchdown in Week 3, and perhaps even more impressively, he led the team with 11 targets off DJ Moore and six of those targets were at least 20 yards behind the field lays to lead to big plays, and in Week 4 he will face the Rams, who allow the most passing yards per play.

Nine yards per play is 17% more than any other defense in the NFL.

Finding number three is the toughest spot of the week for Packers running back Josh Jacobs against the Vikings.

Jacobs is the No. 1 player in run defense and is coming off a poor game in which he scored just 5.3 fantasy points last week.

And his own backup Emanuel Wilson actually had 16 points.

So things look even worse for Jacobs.

Now he’s still the Packers’ running back, but expect him to struggle again this week as he faces the Vikings, who are only allowing 3.6 rushing yards per play.

The fewest in the NFL to find number four is the sleeper of the week and that will be Xavier Legget.

The Panthers’ first-round rookie receiver Leggett should play a larger role next week as wide receiver Adam Thon suffered his hamstring injury last week and is now on IR and will miss at least four games.

And when Thon left in Week 3, Leggette was his primary replacement, finishing the game with 42 receiving yards on three scores from Andy Dalton and just a little backup.

This is a first-round receiver who weighs 220 pounds and has a 439.40 run time.

So he is extremely fast.

Large.

This is the guy who can win downfield.

These were four key takeaways that will help you win your Week 4 fantasy football matchup like always.

Now all you have to do is take this information, incorporate it into your brain, and use it to outdo your competition.
