Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season begins with a crucial NFC East matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.

After dominating in the season opener, the Cowboys have lost two straight games and are 1-2 on the season. Meanwhile, the Giants had the same result, a 1-2 record, but took the exact opposite path to get there, losing in Weeks 1 and 2 and winning last Sunday. Coincidentally, both teams earned victories against the Browns.

A lot depends on this duel at the start of the season, as the loser’s playoff hopes will be significantly diminished.

I think this will be a close game and the Giants have a fast enough attack to take advantage of the Cowboys’ terrible run defense where the contest comes down to a late field goal. However, I don’t trust Daniel Jones to pull off a surprise and win outright. I also like that Dallas’ offense put up some points, hence the overpick.

For the injury report, the Cowboys listed safety Markquese Bell (ankle) and cornerback Caelen Carson (shoulder) as questionable for tonight. Meanwhile, cornerbacks Adoree’ Jackson (calf) and Andru Phillips (calf) are out, while wide receiver Darius Slayton (thumb) is questionable for the Giants.
