Tempers flared early in the first half of Game 2 of the first-round match between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun when Caitlin Clark nearly got into an altercation with veteran DeWanna Bonner after an uncalled foul.

Clark’s emotions were evident in the first quarter, but a missed call on a possible foul by Bonner in the landing zone seemed to unsettle the star rookie.

Clark made a three-point shot about three minutes into the game, but felt Bonner fouled her on the return.

The newly crowned Rookie of the Year shoved Bonner in apparent frustration with the referee, but the altercation was over as quickly as it had begun. The two soon exchanged words before Clark walked away.

The Sun led the Fever 17-14 at the end of the first quarter.
