“Inside Out 2,” currently the highest-grossing film of 2024, is available to stream on Disney+ starting today.

The film, released on June 14, follows the five familiar emotions from the first “Inside Out”: Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Disgust (Liza Lapira) as they guide Riley (Kensington Tallman) through the early stages of puberty. But when Riley leaves for hockey camp, Fear (Maya Hawke), Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), Envy (Ayo Edebiri) and Boredom (Adèle Exarchopoulus) take over the control room and displace the originals from their posts.

Kelsey Mann directed Inside Out 2 and developed the story with producer Meg LeFauve. The film had the second-highest opening weekend of 2024, grossing $155 million at the domestic box office and another $140 million overseas. The animated family comedy crossed the $1 billion mark and currently sits at a worldwide gross of $1.5 billion.

The film is really about the micro-decisions we all make to shape our personalities.”

LeFauve and Dave Holstein wrote the screenplay. Dan Scanlon, Jonas Rivera and Pete Doctor served as executive producers. Kim Collins and Magdiela Hermida Duhamel served as associate producers. Mark Nielsen produced the film.
