Wondering which Netflix series has the contestants getting engaged without ever seeing each other? Don’t know what the other term for “Zoomer” is? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle.

The NYT Mini is a quick and easy version of the newspaper’s longer-running crossword. Most days there are between three and five clues in each direction on a 5×5 grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

In contrast to its bigger brother, the NYT Mini Crossword puzzle is free to play on the New York Times Website or NYT Games app. However, you need a NYT Game subscription for access to previous puzzles in the archive.

So that you don’t get stuck and have to look up missing letters, here you will find the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Wednesday, September 25 (Of course there are spoilers):

NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Answers

Over

1 Horizontal: Praise yourself — BRAGING

5 Across: “___ Is 1-Down,” a Netflix series whose contestants get engaged without ever having seen each other – LOVE

6 Horizontal: Who says that? — SIMON

7 Across: Not just suspected – KNEW

8 Cross: Words exchanged at a wedding — I DOS

Down

1 down: See 5-horizontal — BLIND

2 Below: Loverboy — ROMEO

3 Down: Open Confession — CONFESSIONS

4 Down: ___ Z (Zoomer, under another name) — GENE

6 Down: Take part in a Winter Olympics biathlon — SKI

It has me 0:52 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

I made one mistake that tripped me up a bit, but a solution in under a minute is still respectable. I didn’t understand SIMON at first and thought 8 horizontally was “vows.” I knew immediately that had to be wrong since 1 vertical was obviously BLIND. After skipping AVOWS on the vertical clues, I finally completed the grid when it clicked that “Simon says.”
