Cat Gloveser — best known for her work with prince during his pop-rock heyday in the 1980s – has died.

Glover’s death was announced on her Facebook page on Tuesday… “It is with great sadness that we officially announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover – aka ‘Cat’. Please allow her children, family and friends privacy during this difficult time.”

A cause of death was not disclosed.

Glover was a singer, dancer and choreographer who will forever be associated with Prince, who was involved in a accidental fentanyl overdose in 2016. The two have collaborated on several major albums, namely “Sign o’ the Times” and “Lovesexy”.

They have also worked together on music videos, concert films and tours. Cat also wrote the rap for Prince’s hit “Alphabet St.”

The Chicago native once said she met Prince when she lived on the city’s north side and listened to his record “Dirty Mind” to help her cope with her depression.

Her big break came as a dancer on the talent show “Star Search,” where she made it to the finals but ultimately lost the $100,000 prize money.

Nevertheless, she was considered a gifted artist in the music world. David Bowie and Prince contacted them to include them in their respective bands.

But Cat had a liking for Prince because of her love for “Dirty Mind” and eventually joined him.

Cat was 60.
