Jenn Sterger has no sympathy for Brett Favre and reveals Parkinson’s

Jennifer Sterger seems to have no sympathy for Brett Favre’s Parkinson’s disease.

Sterger, a former Jets anchor who accused the Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback of sending her inappropriate and explicit text messages during his only season in New York in 2008, took to social media to share her thoughts on the revelations about Favre’s health.

Favre made his diagnosis public on Tuesday when he testified at a congressional hearing on misspending and social reforms.

“PSA: Please do not send me links to this. I saw it. I can read,” Sterger wrote on her Instagram story. “I don’t wish anyone bad, but I know karma never forgets an address. Imagine being diagnosed with such a horrible disease and not having the tools to fight it because some Hall of Fame quarterback stole it?

“These are the people who need your attention, support and compassion. And now his pictures will at least no longer be sharp. Mississippi, you deserve better.”

Favre, who was involved in a Mississippi welfare scandal in which individuals were accused of misusing welfare funds for private projects in Mississippi, spoke about his diagnosis before the House Budget Committee.

“Unfortunately, I also lost an investment in a company (Prevacus) that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug that I thought would help others,” Favre said. “I’m sure you’ll understand that while it’s too late for me because I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause that is close to my heart.”

In 2010, two years after he allegedly sent inappropriate text messages and photos to Sterger, the NFL investigated their allegations but did not conclude that Favre had violated the league’s workplace conduct rules.

He admitted to sending voicemails to Sterger and was fined $50,000 for failing to cooperate with the league’s investigation.

This is not the first time Sterger has attacked Favre for his involvement in the welfare scandal in Mississippi.

In 2023, she wrote to X, “Oh… NOW he’s getting in trouble for inappropriate texts,” after he was embroiled in the controversy.
