Injury report Bengals vs Commanders: Tee Higgins and Amarius Mims will play

The Cincinnati Bengals held a rare Saturday practice ahead of Monday night’s game against the Washington Commanders, and the injury report gave us a good look at who could compete on Ring of Honor night.

Tee Higgins appears to be fit. After telling reporters on Friday that he felt 100% fit, he was back on the training field on Saturday. Head coach Zac Taylor said Higgins was “fit.”

Veteran safety Vonn Bell (back, questionable) appears to have a chance to play. When asked about his status, Taylor said, “I’m confident, but we’ll wait and see over the next 24 hours.”

If Bell is unable to play, second-year safety Jordan Battle will take his place.

According to Taylor, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) will be out, but his colleague BJ Hill will test his own thigh problem before kickoff on Monday evening, but his participation is listed as questionable on the injury report.

Newly signed Lawrence Guy is fully involved and will likely get some playing time. If Hill is unable to play, Guy could get a lot more playing time.

Rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (thumb) will play with a bandaged hand, and Taylor says they will monitor how he feels during the game. Jenkins has not played in the regular season on a defensive line that could certainly use the help.

Offensive tackle Amarius Mims (pec) returned to practice and was activated from the injured list. He appears likely to play Monday night, but Trent Brown will start at right tackle.

Tight ends Mike Gesicki (calf) and Tanner Hudson are still in action. Gesicki was again limited, so he should be able to play, while Hudson again did not practice. Hudson will miss his second game in a row.

For the Commanders, defensive end Clelin Ferrell is out, while the participation of cornerback Emmanuel Forbes is questionable.
