Who are the coaches of “The Voice” 2024 for season 26?

The upcoming season of “The Voice” is set to have an extra dose of soul and self-confidence thanks to two new coaches.

NBC’s singing competition returns for season 26 on September 23 at 8 p.m. ET, and both new and veteran coaches will take their place in the famous red chairs.

Pop singer Gwen Stefani and country icon Reba McEntire return to the series, while pop singer Michael Bublé and rapper Snoop Dogg join the cast for the very first time.

NBC first announced that Bublé and Snoop would be joining the 26th season of “The Voice” at its upfront presentation on May 13. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the debut of the star-studded coaching panel.

In an interview with TODAY.com ahead of the season premiere, Bublé said the dynamic between this year’s “Voice” coaches has evolved into “lifelong friendships.”

“I think we realized very quickly that we were like-minded, that we loved each other and supported each other,” says Bublé. “I think the camaraderie and the feeling of security was really incredible.”

The “Home” singer explains that although he and Snoop had “no idea” what they were getting into as new coaches, they found comfort in having McEntire and Stefani there to “guide” them.

“And we honestly couldn’t have asked for two better people to break in. Really motherly and sweet, and both Gwen and Reba are just the best. We all laugh a lot,” he says.

Speaking of laughter: Bublé also gives his fellow coaches some pun-filled nicknames – from McEntire aka “Reba Magnet-Tire” to Stefani aka “Never Ste-phony.”

But when asked what his own nickname is on the show, Bublé jokes that it is simply “Michael Bublé.”

“My humor is so dry that they never know if I’m serious or not, and my humor is just very Canadian,” says Bublé, describing his sense of humor as “dry,” “silly” and “smart-ass.”

Regardless of what his fellow coaches call him – or don’t call him – Bublé describes their unit as “a family.”

Snoop Dogg

Although Dogg is making his debut as a coach on “The Voice,” he already appeared as a mega-mentor in the 20th season of the singing competition.

During NBC’s upfront presentation on May 13, Snoop shared his excitement about joining the show as a coach while onstage with McEntire.

“Since Reba is the queen of ‘The Voice’ who brings the sparkle, I can be the king who brings the style, funk and fun,” he said.

At the beginning of a compilation video shared by YouTube channel Voice on September 19, Snoop introduced himself to the camera while sitting in his red chair.

“Voice fans, Coach Snoop is here. It’s going to be a fun season, trust me,” he said.

Reba McEntire

McEntire has been a coach on the singing competition since season 24, making her third consecutive year in the red chair. Her team won season 25 when Asher HaVon was named the best singer of the season.

But her career on “The Voice” stretched back to before her time as a coach. During the show’s first season in 2011, she was a battle advisor for Blake Shelton’s team. Before making her debut as a coach, she also stepped in as a mega mentor for season 23.

Bublé is no stranger to “The Voice”: The Grammy-winning singer was an advisor to Shelton’s team in season 3.

Now the “I Just Haven’t Met You Yet” singer is sitting in his own red swivel chair and has expressed how grateful he is to be a coach on the show.

“I think it’s just as important for us to take care of these people, to protect them and to love them as if they were going on the show,” Bublé tells TODAY.com.

“Or if not – I mean, part of us knows how hard it was for us to get to where we are now and how lucky we are,” he continues.

Gwen Stefani

Stefani begins her eighth season as a coach on “The Voice” after previously sitting in a red chair in seasons 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22 and 24.

The “Just a Girl” singer, whose team won in Season 19 when Carter Rubin won, has taken on other roles on “The Voice” over the years. Stefani was a Battle Advisor for her husband Shelton’s team in Season 10 and a Top 8 Advisor for former coaches Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera in Season 8.

The singing competition also has some sentimental value for Stefani and Shelton, as they met on set in 2014. The couple married in 2021, and the ceremony was officiated by “The Voice” host and Shelton’s good friend Carson Daly of TODAY.
