Al B. Sure! calls for an investigation into the death of Diddy’s ex Kim Porter

A week after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, New Jack Swing singer Al B. Sure! detailed on Instagram what he believes is a vast conspiracy surrounding the 2018 death of model and actress Kim Porter. In his call for an investigation, the R&B singer suggests that Porter was his former flame and, after their split, the recently incarcerated mogul’s on-off partner, and that her alleged knowledge of his alleged sex trafficking led to her death.

On Monday, Al B. Sure!, whose real name was Albert Joseph Brown, detailed what he said was the work of several people surrounding Brown at the time of her death from lobar pneumonia. In the four posts, which include pictures of the former couple and pages from her memoir, Brown calls Porter’s 2018 death a “tragic murder.”

“In short, Kimberly was supposedly taken from us because she was out to accomplish what Mrs. Cassie Ventura did by lighting the Bon Fire (sic) that brings us here today,” Brown wrote.

In his call for an investigation by authorities, Brown suggests that everyone who was in Porter’s home, especially all publicists, should be questioned by law enforcement, as he accuses them of conspiring to prevent the publication of Porter’s book. He claims that this involved switching pages from her manuscript so that inflammatory details would never be published. Brown claims he learned what Porter wanted to include in her memoir through “frequent and confidential conversations during her selfless attempts to save my life.”

Brown also claims that he was ignored by authorities for years while he tried to expose the alleged cover-up, and that he was even “medically silenced” while he worked to uncover the truth. In 2023, he fell into a coma after being intubated during a hospital stay for multiple illnesses. He received a liver transplant and survived the ordeal, which he described on Instagram as “multiple organ failure, septic, intubated, on a ventilator for 38 days, and forced to walk to death’s door.”

Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California, home in 2018 after days of flu-like symptoms. The medical examiner initially listed the cause of death as “deferred,” but later changed it to lobar pneumonia. Porter dated Diddy sporadically until 2017. In addition to their three children together – Christian Combs and twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs – Porter had a son, Quincy Brown, with Brown.

In his four Instagram posts, Brown references allegedly stolen notes intended for Porter’s memoir and claims her devices, including a computer, are missing, suggesting some sort of cover-up surrounding the book and her death. Brown’s mentions of Ventura and a “recently released public charging document” further suggest, in not-so-subtle ways, Combs’ involvement in Porter’s death, apparently to keep certain details from her memoir.

“Ms. Porter’s missing devices, which are alleged to already be in evidence, undoubtedly contain the crucial evidence that has been kept under wraps until now. I am convinced that the evidence closely matches the details set out in the recently unsealed indictment. In addition, it is important to note that the individuals implicated in this matter may also be connected to the cover-up of the alleged murders of several prominent artists,” Brown wrote, adding cryptically that “many have been confused” but entertainment industry insiders “should have a clearer understanding of the obvious.”

An email to Combs Global seeking comment from a representative of the jailed mogul did not receive a response Monday. Combs has been in custody for a week after being arrested on human trafficking and RICO charges.
