Cincinnati Bengals RT Trent Brown leaves the team due to a knee injury

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Bengals right tackle Trent Brown will miss Monday night’s game with a right knee injury.

Brown went down in pass protection in the second quarter of the game against the Washington Commanders. Brown immediately grabbed his right knee and had to be taken off the field in an ambulance.

The 10th-year veteran made his third start this season, signing a one-year deal worth up to $4.75 million in the offseason after spending the previous three years with the New England Patriots.

Amarius Mims, the team’s first-round pick this year, took Brown’s place. The former Georgia star made his NFL debut on Monday after missing the first two games with a pectoral injury suffered in the season opener against Tampa Bay.

Before that, however, Mims had impressive performances in offseason workouts and training camp. Mims was tentatively slated to be the team’s starting right tackle before he was injured.
