Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars struggled in the first half of Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Lawrence, fresh off an offseason in which he signed a massive five-year, $275 million contract, had just 59 passing yards and one interception, completing 10 of his 22 passes. The Jags managed just 70 total yards of offense as the Bills took a 34-3 halftime lead.
Whether Jacksonville’s disastrous first half is a tribute to Buffalo’s strong play or a sign that the Jaguars are in for a bad year is up for debate, but fans weren’t happy with either Lawrence or head coach Doug Pederson on Monday.

It appears this will be Doug Pederson’s last game as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Enough is enough. https://t.co/ckYxehKRJf

Trevor Lawrence was terrible tonight (as he has been in most of his last eight appearances) and the Jaguars have no chance of coming back and winning the game.
It might be wise for Doug Pederson to give him a chance in the second half and see if that helps him refocus in some way.
Before Monday’s game, Lawrence was not having an ideal start to the season considering his lengthy offseason contract extension, posting 382 passing yards and just one touchdown in the first two games of the season, which were losses to the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.
While it’s still early in the year and both Lawrence and Pederson still have time to turn things around, Monday’s performance is not a good indication of what kind of season the Jags are in for.
