SEATTLE, WA – High temperatures this weekend were pleasant and warm, reaching highs above 70 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday.
After a warm weekend, temperatures will continue to rise thanks to high pressure continuing to build in the Pacific Northwest. A weak disturbance will bring some showers to the northern part of our region tonight and widespread cloud cover. We expect the showers to return mid-week with moderate to heavy precipitation, with the possibility of lightning and possibly gusty winds.
Lows will remain mild tonight as clouds blanket Western Washington, with lows ranging between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
From Monday it will be cloudy, with isolated drizzle possible in the north.
Skies will gradually clear on Monday, especially in the early morning hours, with clouds remaining a little more persistent in the afternoon. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures are expected for Western Washington.
It will remain warmer than average until Tuesday, before more autumnal weather sets in by next weekend.
Skies will remain dry and warm through Tuesday, but our next cold front will arrive on Tuesday. This stronger front will bring heavy to moderate rain and even thunderstorms starting Wednesday. We can expect gusty winds on Thursday and cooler temperatures by the end of the week. Skies will remain dry on Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures below average.
