Falcons release list of inactive players ahead of Sunday Night Football game against Kansas City Chiefs

ATLANTA – The Falcons enter Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a clean bill of health.

Despite being limited at various points during practice this week, running back Tyler Allgeier (hip), defensive back Antonio Hamilton (groin) and defensive lineman James Smith-Williams (hip) all fully participated in Friday’s practice and were not cleared to play, meaning they were able to be active on Sunday and officially are with the release of the team’s pregame non-playable list.

This is technically Hamilton’s first game with the Falcons after sitting out the games against the Steelers and Eagles earlier in the season. He is recovering from a groin injury sustained in practice in Week 1. He is listed on the team’s official roster as a backup to Dee Alford at the nickel position.

As far as inactivity goes, there are no surprises for the team on Sunday night.

Rookie running back Jase McClellan and defensive linemen Ruke Orhorhoro and Brandon Dorlus are inactive for the third time this year. Head coach Raheem Morris was asked about Orhorhoro’s inactive status earlier this week. He said the coaching staff has really liked the performance of the six defensive linemen they use on game day, including Grady Jarrett, David Onyemata, Ta’Quon Graham, Eddie Goldman, Zach Harrison and Kentavious Street.

“(Ruke) happens to be surrounded by a lot of veterans right now who are really focused on doing a good job for us,” Morris said.
