Is it officially time to panic? The Dallas Cowboys wanted to prove to the world, but more importantly to themselves, that last week was an exception. It wasn’t. The team lost its first home game in Week 2, 44-19, to the New Orleans Saints, but had a chance to change course seven days later when the Baltimore Ravens came to town.

After allowing 190 rushing yards to Alvin Kamara and the Saints, the two-headed monster of QB Lamar Jackson and RB Derrick Henry made that performance seem ambitious by comparison. The Ravens rushed for 274 yards in that game and beat Mike Zimmer’s disgraced unit in every way possible, winning 28-25.

The game was tight until the end, but that was after the Ravens built a 28-6 lead that they took into the fourth quarter. Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense finally came to life and, thanks to an onside kick recovery and some defensive stops, they created a fourth-quarter opportunity and scored 19 points.

Unfortunately, the defense was unable to stop the Ravens’ final drive as a Jackson keeper got new attempts on the second and ninth attempt and ran out the clock.

The loss means Dallas is now 1-2 this season and will have to travel to New York shortly after to face the Giants on Thursday night.

Prescott finished the game with 373 passing yards, two touchdowns, and no turnovers without the running game contributing much. Dallas again struggled to move the ball on the ground, and then running was no longer an option due to the game situation. They finished the game with just 51 rushing yards on 16 carries.
