Panthers rookie Xavier Legette hopes Andy Dalton will help him develop what he does best

The Carolina Panthers’ locker room hasn’t given up on Bryce Young, despite being benched after two historically awful performances just two games into the season. But that doesn’t mean they won’t look to reinforce their quarterback in the coming weeks, no matter how long the experienced Andy Dalton ends up being in the starting lineup.

Perhaps no one has more reason to be excited about the change at quarterback than rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette. In Week 1, Legette caught a team-most seven passes for four total catches and 35 yards. Last week, however, he didn’t catch a single pass from Bryce Young, which he admits was frustrating but doesn’t think much of.

Here’s what Legette told reporters in the locker room earlier this week when asked what he thought Dalton could bring to the field.
