Borussia Dortmund: 1:5 defeat in Stuttgart Five points behind Bayern! –BVB-BEAT | Sport

The VfB fans really enjoy this revenge victory!

Stuttgart beat Dortmund 5:1. BVB suffered its first really bitter defeat under the direction of new coach Nuri Sahin (36). After four match days, the Ruhr club is only in 8th place and is already five points behind Bayern.

It is BVB’s fifth defeat in a row against arch-rivals Stuttgart (goal difference 2:10!). Even former VfB stars Waldemar Anton (28) and Serhou Guirassy (28) – now in the black and yellow jersey – cannot change that.

Deafening: Anton in particular is booed mercilessly by the entire stadium when he returns to his former home. Last season, the former fan favorite and Guirassy were the celebrated winning goal scorers for VfB against Dortmund. Now they are experiencing their red and white miracle – and what a miracle!

4th minute: VfB lets the ball run down the left wing. Undav runs onto a fine pass from Mittelstädt and finishes with an unfortunate shot that goes perfectly over the right inside post – 1-0! Strong: For Undav, it is the fourth competitive goal in a row.

And Dortmund? Nothing is happening from them! Defensively off track, offensively non-existent. Not a single shot on goal. The three changes to the starting eleven by coach Nuri Sahin (36) – Bensebaini, Malen and Can are on the bench – are a disaster.

21 minutes: Sabitzer lets Leweling get past far too easily. Mittelstädt casually flanks his pass into the middle. There, two VfB attackers find space between Schlotterbeck and Süle. One of them is Demirovic – and he scores with a free header, 2-0!

Now the BVB penalty area is ablaze. The VfB Express stops in front of Kobel’s box every minute. The BVB keeper makes two saves against Undav (24th and 28th), one of them world class. Stuttgart is playing Dortmund dizzy in this phase and should be leading by at least three goals.

Sahin reacted, bringing on Gittens for the injured Nmecha (30th minute). He had the only notable BVB chance seconds before half-time (45th minute). During the break, Sahin further adjusted his line-up, bringing on Yan Couto for the overwhelmed Ryerson and Bensebaini for Adeyemi.

After the break, Dortmund improved slightly, but they again scored against Stuttgart. Millot sealed the deal with his goal – again set up by the strong Mittelstädt (60′).

When nothing was really going right for BVB, Guirassy at least scored to bring the score back into the game (75th minute). This gave rise to a brief moment of hope, but when Touré, who had just been substituted on, scored VfB’s fourth goal, nothing was going right for Dortmund. Things got even worse: Undav made it 5-1 with his second goal. BVB were on the ground.

Game over!
