Will Levis of the Tennessee Titans explains plan to fix the problems

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is starting to develop a really bad habit that he will look to nip in the bud in his Week 3 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Levis has caused some costly turnovers in each of the first two games, and had he not made those plays, the Titans may have had a very different start to the season. Levis says he’s working on how to take care of the ball and make more sensible decisions under pressure in certain moments.

“I just know when you have to be extremely careful with the ball,” Levis said, via team reporter Jim Wyatt. “Whether that’s when you’re in good position or on a third down where the shot you’re trying doesn’t even get you the first down. And I’ve just realized that a little quicker now.”

“…As a quarterback, you have to ask yourself, ‘What’s the best and smartest thing you can do? What do you have to keep in mind in this situation to help your team and protect the ball?’ I just try to think about those situations every day and get better at them.”

Levis is a young quarterback, so mistakes are to be expected. But there also has to be a willingness to learn from mistakes. After the Week 1 blunder, Levis had a chance to put that behind him in Week 2, with a different outcome. However, a pattern began to emerge.

Two games shouldn’t define a quarterback, but if it continues like this, it could easily become a larger sample size. If Levis can’t prove he can learn from his mistakes by applying them in future games, the Titans may need to turn to another quarterback.
