USF fans fill Raymond James Stadium for the Bulls game against Miami

TAMPA, Fla. – On Saturday, the South Florida Bulls and Miami Hurricanes met for the first time since 2013, and the fans outside Raymond James Stadium were in full force.

“USF football is definitely back. It’s a very exciting experience. The student body is very happy to have a good football team again,” said Nathan Coffin.

The university announced that groundbreaking for the stadium will occur during USF’s homecoming week in mid-October 2024.

“Our stadium will be easy to get to. We won’t have to drive 30 minutes from campus. It will be right outside the door, we can all just walk to the stadium. No more Ubers!” added Antonio Holmberg.

Fans who support the Bulls said there is nothing like the college football experience.

“I think this is a once in a lifetime experience, especially in a state like Florida. We can experience this together!” said Heather Schofield.

“I’m just happy to see USF regain its fan base. The school spirit is back. We have a full house tonight. I just love to see that. Everyone is here supporting us. It’s great to see the football program grow,” said Logan Buggy.

“You will see a great improvement in traffic flow in this area,”
Almost $865 million later, the new Howard Frankland Bridge is entering its final construction phase.
