Denver Broncos at Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds, expert picks, how to watch: Undefeated Bucs host winless Broncos

Two teams with opposing tendencies meet when the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the winless Denver Broncos. Tampa Bay is seeking another NFC South title with a revamped offense and a strong start from quarterback Baker Mayfield. At the other end of the spectrum is struggling rookie QB Bo Nix. The Buccaneers are one-touchdown favorites in this game.

Tampa Bay made a big splash in Week 2 with a comeback road win over Detroit. Mayfield’s 11-yard touchdown run in the final minute was a shining moment after a solid performance. The connection between wide receiver Chris Godwin and Mayfield in new offensive coordinator Liam Coen’s game plan is obvious. Godwin has already rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns in the new year – catching 15 of Mayfield’s 16 passes.

Despite a faltering running game and the injury to running back Rachaad White, Mike Evans and Godwin remain a dangerous duo. The Bucs are fourth in offense rating and Mayfield is second in QB rating so far.

Denver went touchdown-less in an ugly Week 2 loss to Pittsburgh. Nix has four interceptions and zero touchdown passes, with the Broncos’ running backs offering little help early this season. Denver ranks 30th in offense and 29th in total yards per game, with little star power to back up the struggling Nix.

Against a revamped Tampa Bay secondary that has forced Detroit to just one touchdown in seven red zone appearances, Denver will need to finish its offense and limit turnovers. Quarterback pressure is an early weakness for Tampa Bay with Calijah Kancey and Vita Vea injured. But Broncos veteran tackle Mike McGlinchey (MCL sprain) is out, raising even more questions for Denver.
