Manchester City goalscorer Jess Park speaking to BBC TV: “It was a really frustrating game for us. Sometimes we played well as a team, sometimes we didn’t find that little something extra. It’s frustrating, but we’re happy to come away with a point. That will be important.”
To their goal: “I caught the ball on impact after I touched it. As soon as it left my foot I thought I had hit it well. It was nice to see it land in the net and put us ahead.
“I think I had to laugh at everyone’s comments. I don’t think they’ve ever seen me hit a ball that hard. It was great to score a great goal.”
About the title fight: “It’s always very difficult to play at Arsenal and it’s even harder at this stadium. To come home with a point, even though it may not have been our best performance, is really positive. We will take that and work on the things we need to work on.”
About Vivianne Miedema: “Great for her, we all tried to be with her. It was really nice to see her score that goal, I think she needed it.”
“We work well together. It’s exciting to play with her. It’s really fun to play with her.”
Ambitions for the season: “I think we want to go as far as possible in every single competition. I think that’s just the standard.”
