This is how the fans react

There are over 700,000 people waiting to book tickets on the BookMyShow website, with fans eagerly awaiting the return of Coldplay since their last visit in 2016.

Reacting to the BookMyShow site crashing, one person said, “#BookMyShow is down… hey I don’t want Coldplay, I just need a movie ticket. Do this ASAP.” One fan said, “Bookmyshow crashed. What a timing for a crash!” One tweet read, “I never understood why on earth #BookMyShow was chosen as the ticketing partner for bookings. They screwed up with the World Cup tickets and now the Coldplay scene. The app crashed.” One X user said, “@bookmyshow crashed without even selling tickets for the Coldplay show?” “Pathetic service as always,” wrote another fan.

What Book My Show said before booking went online

Before booking went live, BookMyShow.Live on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “ATTENTION COLDPLAY FANS. We heard you and want every fan to have a fair chance of getting tickets to the show! A user can book a maximum of 4 TICKETS for all shows! Tickets go live promptly at 12pm! Stay tuned.”

About the Coldplay concert

On January 18 and 19, 2025, Mumbai’s DY Patil Sports Stadium will play host to two unforgettable nights of music and magic. “This is the moment you’ve been waiting for!” said a representative from BookMyShow Live, highlighting the excitement surrounding this monumental event. Following the phenomenal success of their Summer 2024 shows in Europe, Coldplay are all set to make history with their highly anticipated performances in India.

The tour will feature a number of hits from their acclaimed album Music of the Spheres, including new singles such as We Pray and Feelslikeimfallinginlove. Audiences can also look forward to beloved classics such as Yellow, Fix You and Viva La Vida, all presented in a spectacular show with lasers, fireworks and mesmerizing LED displays.

To make the concert accessible to everyone, Coldplay will offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets, which cost the equivalent of 20 euros (approx. 2000) per ticket. These will go on sale on November 22, 2024, so fans can buy them in pairs and enjoy the concert experience together.
