The 2024 Major League Baseball season is entering its final week and the wildcard races in both leagues are exciting.

While the Baltimore Orioles hold the American League’s first wild card spot, the Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners were all within two games of second and third place until Saturday. In the NL, the Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Mets and Atlanta Braves were separated by just three games for the last two spots.

“We’re having a blast,” said Tigers All-Star outfielder Riley Greene, who is competing for the championship for the first time. “I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun playing baseball in my life.”
