Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, September 21, 2024?

NO. SNL Season 50 starts on Saturday, September 28.

NBC will rebroadcast the April 13 episode with Ryan Gosling hosting and musical guest Chris Stapleton. This was Gosling’s third appearance as host, and his most recent performance was memorable for several reasons.

The episode began with a new episode of Gosling’s sketch series “Close Encounters” with Kate McKinnon, followed by his monologue, which turned into a musical duet with his Colt for the fall co-star Emily Blunt. Perhaps most notably, the hilarious episode also featured the viral sketch “Beavis and Butt-Head,” the most-watched live sketch of season 49.

In addition to his musical performances, Stapleton also took part in a pre-recorded musical sketch titled “Get That Boy Back.”

The episode hosted by Gosling was not only the highest rated of the season and the most streamed SNL The first episode ever on Peacock, which also took home three Creative Arts Emmys in early September.
