Texas receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. left Saturday’s game against Louisiana-Monroe after the Longhorns’ first offensive drive. Before leaving, Moore had caught a ball for six yards.

Moore caught the first touchdown of his career in Week 3 against UTSA. Quarterback Arch Manning threw a 19-yard pass after quarterback Quinn Ewers left the game with an abdominal injury. Before Texas’ game against ULM, he had caught three passes for 22 yards and a touchdown in 2024.

Moore graduated from St. John Bosco and was a four-star 2023 recruit from the same class as Manning, who was the top recruit overall according to the 247Sports Composite. He and Johntay Cook II are the only receivers on the roster who were also on Texas’ 2023 team that made the College Football Playoff.

Moore has been praised by Sarkisian and the coaching staff all summer and has earned a starting spot in the Longhorns’ lineup, with Cook listed as his replacement.
