Game day is finally here. We’ve gotten through the grind of the week after the Notre Dame game, with all the hand-wringing, asking the coach, asking the AD, and really questioning almost everything to do with Purdue football. That’s in the past. At times like this, I like to think of the speech Rocky gives in Rocky Balboa, truly the best Rocky movie, when he’s talking to his son.
Life is tough. Life is going to hit you hard. I will always love Purdue football no matter what. But until the team starts believing in itself and playing accordingly, it’s going to be hard to win games.
Surely they can offer more resistance tonight as they play away at Oregon State, a founding member of the Pac 12.

This will be only the third time these two teams have ever met and only the second time Purdue has traveled to Oregon State to play a football game. You may remember Purdue traveling to Eugene in 2009 and losing a thrilling game. This game, however, will be played in Corvallis.
