Auburn Tigers DB seriously injured in 1st quarter against Arkansas

The Auburn Tigers were already overwhelmed defensively and suffered another setback in the first quarter against Arkansas.

Auburn’s defensive back champ Anthony was carted off the field after suffering an apparent leg injury.

The injury occurred shortly after Anthony delivered a violent blow to Arkansas star wide receiver Andrew Armstrong.

Anthony’s injury is considered serious as no replay was shown.

Anthony was carried off the field in a cast from his hip to his ankle. Needless to say, he will not be back for this game, and the rest of his season is now uncertain. The players, coaches and on-field staff knew immediately that it was bad.

In his brief time on the field, Anthony recorded three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.
