Oklahoma State-Utah College GameDay Predictions: Who Bets on Cowboys or Utes?

By the end of Saturday, Oklahoma State’s Big 12 championship hopes will have either taken a big step forward — or suffered a noticeable setback.

Mike Gundy’s No. 15 Cowboys host No. 10 Utah this weekend in the two teams’ opening game of the 2024 Big 12. This game could be the deciding factor in who ends up in the conference championship game and automatically earns a top-four spot for the College Football Playoffs.

Oklahoma State started 3-0, with wins over defending FCS national champion South Dakota State and an SEC team in Arkansas. After last Saturday’s 45-10 win over Tulsa, the Cowboys are averaging 42.7 points per game, which ranks 18th among the top 134 FBS teams.

Utah will be Oklahoma State’s toughest test yet. The Utes were the Big 12 favorites in their first season in the league and are expected to have quarterback Cam Rising available for the game at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

The clash is one of the most important games on the fourth week of college football schedule and was selected by ESPN’s “College GameDay,” which aired ahead of No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 7 Tennessee meeting in Norman, about 80 miles away.

Here’s who the College GameDay crew of Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, celebrity guest picker Blake Shelton (an Oklahoma native) and others picked between Oklahoma State and Utah:
