The Ball State football team will open Mid-American Conference play this weekend with a road game at Central Michigan.

Both teams will look to rebound from last week’s road losses to non-conference Power 4 opponents. Ball State (1-1) fell to the No. 11 Miami Hurricanes 62-0, while Central Michigan (1-2) lost to Illinois 30-9.

The Cardinals have currently won two straight games against the Chippewas. A third straight win would be the longest winning streak between the two since Ball State won five straight games from 2010-2014. The Chips are looking to avoid not only a third straight loss to Ball State, but a third straight loss on their season, as they lost 52-16 to Florida International before the loss at Illinois last week.
