Picks for Week 4 of College Football from ESPN’s College GameDay

Week 4 of college football kicks off today with some big matchups across the country that could impact the eventual outcomes of the College Football Playoffs. Looking ahead to Saturday’s games, we’re now finalizing our game picks, with a little help from the guys at ESPN’s College GameDay.

Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Lee Corso and the whole gang are on site in Norman, Oklahoma, for a game of historic significance as Oklahoma makes its debut as an SEC team in a top-of-the-line game under the lights against a dynamic Tennessee opponent who comes in as the favorite.

Other important ranking duels that came about as a result of the conference realignment are also on the program today: USC makes its Big Ten debut away against Michigan and the new member of the Big 12 takes on Oklahoma State in a battle of conference contenders.

Clemson returns from its week off with its ACC opener against NC State, while the Wolfpack debuts a new quarterback following Grayson McCall’s injury and Georgia Tech faces league rival Louisville on the road.

The time for talk is over, the games are about to begin. With a little help from the guys at ESPN’s College GameDay, let’s make our final predictions for the most important matchups.

Boston College at Michigan State: A unanimous decision for the Eagles’ away win.

Georgia Tech at Louisville: Pat McAfee was the only one who predicted that the Yellow Jackets would pull off the upset.

Kansas State at BYU: Kirk Herbstreit was the only one to vote for BYU to beat the Wildcats at home.

Baylor in Colorado: Lee Corso was on Baylor’s side and defeated the Buffs on the road.

Arkansas at Auburn: Herbstreit was the only one who hoped that Auburn would beat the favored Razorbacks.

Rutgers at Virginia Tech: Desmond Howard and Herbstreit chose the Scarlet Knights, while the others were at home on the Hokies side.

TCU at SMU: McAfee and Corso have chosen the Mustangs’ home game against the Horned Frogs.

Utah vs. Oklahoma State: Nick Saban backed the Cowboys, while the others sided with favorite Utah.

USC at Michigan: Corso was the only one speaking for the Wolverines, while the others sided with the Trojans in their Big Ten debut.

Tennessee in Oklahoma: Everyone on the set was for the Volunteers and against the Sooners, except guest picker Blake Shelton, who was on OU’s side.

Lee Corso’s headwear selection: Tennessee via Oklahoma.
