Disclaimer: The lines are valid from 15.09.2025

Stanford (+9.5) in Syracuse | ESPN | 7:30 p.m. | Friday

Matt’s selection: Good luck, Stanford. A long flight across the country to play a strong, well-coached football team that is more talented than usual. They play at a high level and have more than enough players to win a big game on Friday night. Fran Brown will get his team ready to go. Syracuse shouldn’t have much trouble here. Syracuse (-9.5).

Ryan’s selection: This game is just wrong. Stanford in the ACC feels wrong. Stanford has to travel all the way across the country to play Syracuse. Kyle McCord wasn’t fantastic at Ohio State, but he wasn’t bad by any means. With a year of experience there, he probably would have been pretty solid for the Buckeyes this season. Instead, he’s a little overqualified for the Orange, and that’s one of the reasons I think Syracuse (-9.5) will report. Friday night in upstate New York, ladies and gentlemen.

Dean’s choice: Stanford just isn’t that good right now, and I’d take Syracuse, which seems to have a pulse. Don’t be fooled into thinking Syracuse is “good” — we haven’t seen any signs of that. A three-point win over Tech isn’t proof in that regard. But that’s asking a lot of Stanford. Two games in a row on the East Coast in eight days? Not right. Give me Syracuse (-9.5) cover.

North Carolina State (+14) at No. 21 Clemson | ABC |12:00 p.m

Matt’s selection: That could be the difference in the spread. Clemson is better than NC State. They should win. If it’s 14.5, I might take State, but only 14? Clemson can handle that. Late touchdown in the 4th.th gets the cover. State keeps the game fairly close for three quarters, but Clemson’s defense will make a big play. The Tigers will need some style points later if they don’t win the conference. After a BYE, Clemson will surely do well at home. Cleveland (-14).

Ryan’s selection: First of all, I don’t think NC State is a good football team. It took them nearly four quarters to get into a rhythm against Western Carolina, and then the Wolfpack got beaten up by Tennessee, and I don’t think the Volunteers looked particularly good in that game. I’m giving Clemson the benefit of the doubt in this one.

We only have a sample of two games from Clemson. In one game, the Tigers were terrible. In the other game, Clemson was fantastic. Dabo’s team is probably somewhere in between. I think Clemson is a legitimate ACC contender, and style points will matter in the end if we want to have two ACC teams in the playoffs. Do we really want that? Give me Cleveland (-14).

Dean’s choice: This is an important game for Clemson. That line is now over 20 points. I’ve decided to change my pick. I just don’t like NCSU right now. NC State will have a different starting quarterback than when we made the pick in the video. Give me the potatoes (-14). I think this could get out of control.

Florida (-7.5) at Mississippi State | ESPN |12:00

Matt’s selection: Yikes. Put this game on CNBC. Tru TV. Bravo. Other networks you’ve heard of but never turn on. Nobody wants to watch this disaster. Florida has proven they’re a terrible football team, and State could be even worse. The Gators will have to make some changes soon, but Napier will have his team ready to beat a terrible State team on the road. If Florida loses this game, Napier is gone on Monday. I can’t bring him back to Gainesville. The job is on the line here. That may be stupid, but I’ll take it. Florida (-7.5).

Ryan’s selection: For me, this is really just about how bad Mississippi State is. Losing 41-17 at home to Toledo is just so bad. Florida isn’t a good team either, but the Gators (-7.5) can remove this cover.

Dean’s choice: Oh my gosh. I see Matt trying to move this to Bravo. Let’s talk about Watch What Happens. This game has to be the absolute lowest point for two teams facing off in a game that’s being broadcast by ESPN. Me? I love it. It’s bad out there – let’s see how bad it can get (pretty bad). Give me the Gators (-7.5).

UCLA (+22.5) at No. 16 LSU | ABC | 3:30 p.m.

Matt’s selection: Wow. Is UCLA that bad? Because LSU isn’t that good. 22.5 points? That’s a lot. Too much in my eyes? But don’t let it get you down, UCLA. Just show a little. You can do it. Give me UCLA (+22.5).

Ryan’s selection: This LSU team hasn’t been quite as good as I expected. The Tigers are coming off a close win over the Gamecocks in Columbia last week. Close win is the best way I can put it. I’m not very confident about my pick for LSU-22.5 to cover such a big line. The run defense is not good. I’m banking on a comeback or breakout performance.

Dean’s choice: LSU is untrustworthy, but UCLA sucks.

🐯 > 🐻

LSU (-22.5) covers that line, because if Indiana gives you 42 in the Rose Bowl, it won’t get much better in Death Valley.

Arkansas (+5.5) at Auburn | ESPN | 3:30 p.m

Matt’s selection: I went back and forth on this one, but I have “Auburn” here next to my name, so I must have said it in the video we pre-recorded. So I’m going to root for the Tigers. Even though they don’t have a quarterback, they have a defense that could make it tough for Arkansas. Jordan-Hare Stadium can be tough. Just not for the Cal-Berkeley Bears. I hate this pick, but I’m going to go with my gut and say Auburn (-5.5) like an idiot.

Ryan’s selection: It’s too early, but Arkansas is probably a better team than Auburn. You can’t lose to Cal at home. I can’t believe that happened. But this isn’t a weird cross-country road trip style game. This is an SEC duel at Jordan-Hare Stadium. I’m betting on Auburn (-5.5) Here.

Dean’s choice: If Florida State is too much trash TV for you, Arkansas-Auburn might be more your thing.

Very fast

All-time Trash TV rankings

1. Jerry Springer

2. Jersey Shore

3. Southern charm

4. Teenage Mom

5. MILF Manor

This game isn’t much better. I’ll take the Hogs (+5.5) and the points. The loser of this game is in trouble.

No. 11 USC (-6.5) at No. 18 Michigan | CBS | 3:30 p.m.

Matt’s selection: This Trojans team isn’t all that bad. They have a solid quarterback and several offensive weapons that will test Michigan’s defense, and their defense is improved. Don’t forget Atlanta native and Dawg Post native Woody Marks at running back. Michigan just hasn’t been impressive at all this year. Lincoln Riley has to step up there and do it. USC (-6.5).

Ryan’s selection: USC is a better football team than Michigan this season. I don’t think Michigan is a playoff team this season, and it’s expanded to 12 teams. Miller Moss is a pretty good quarterback. He’s slowly climbing up the draft boards in a draft where the quarterback position seems pretty uncertain. I like that line is only 6.5 points. If it were a full seven, I’d consider the Wolverines, but Michigan has already shown it can lose by a wide margin at home against a better team. Go with USC (-6.5) Here.

Dean’s choice: So I’m really excited for this game. I think USC could make it pretty ugly if they don’t make a lot of mistakes. Michigan just doesn’t have the guys they’ve had the last three years. A five-loss season isn’t out of the question at all in my opinion. Texas kicked Michigan’s ass…that’s what they should have done. Give me Trojans (-6.5).

No. 12 Utah (+2.5) at No. 14 Oklahoma State | FOX | 4:00 p.m.

Matt’s selection: Big home game for Oklahoma State. They haven’t been particularly impressive this year, but they’re good enough to compete at home. They’ll be ready to play. Give me Oklahoma State (-2.5).

Ryan’s selection: Utah quarterback Cam Rising is almost two years older than me, and I graduated from college a year and a half ago. He’s on the injured list just like me. It looks like he’s expected to play, but man oh man. How often is this guy off the roster?

People seemed to be projecting Utah as Big 12 champions. Maybe that’s because it’s hard to find teams in this conference with a real chance at the playoffs, and Utah has a history of tough opponents. The problem is that Utah has largely disappointed. It seems like the Utes have been near the top of the PAC 12 over the last decade, but still not at the top.

Oklahoma State is at home. This line is pretty small. The Cowboys have the best player in this game. Give me the Impacts (-2.5).

Dean’s choice: Very quick lesson: Stop thinking the Big 12 has to have good football. It doesn’t. I’m here to be entertained – I’m not here to see quality. The Big 12 is the equivalent of trash TV. And those two are probably the best in this league – at least two of the top three. So I’m not trying to be impressed – I’m trying to see Jwoww and Ronnie. Two hits on this one – Ronnie hits something random and I hit that number. Give me the Pokes (-2.5), and the house of horrors that is this side business.

No. 6 Tennessee (-7.5) at No. 15 Oklahoma | ABC | 7:30 p.m.

Matt’s selection: Oh man. I want this game to be close. I want it to be close. But I think the Vols will go out there and win this game by double digits. I don’t like the half point, but it won’t matter. Tennessee’s offense is too good, and Oklahoma’s offensive line will have its hands full with Tennessee’s defense. The Vols go to Norman and get an impressive win. Tennessee (-7.5).

Ryan’s selection: I am so excited for this game because we will learn a lot about Tennessee. Last week I thought we learned that Missouri may not be as good as they once thought. At least that was my impression. Alabama had a solid comeback performance after

I think that Tennessee (-7.5) will win this game and cover this line. If the Vols continue the trend this season, the team will score a lot of points. Oklahoma is solid. This is not going to be an easy task. I think Tennessee wins by 10-20 points, which makes them a real contender at this point in the year.

Dean’s choice: I take the Vols (-7.5)but if they don’t perform as I expect, I have a few questions. Maybe it’s a warning sign when the Dawg Post crew is making unanimous picks… I don’t know. I know this – Tennessee has looked great and Oklahoma hasn’t. I think that number should be closer to 9, but I don’t put any limits on it – I just take the money after I win.

Season ATS

Matthew 14-14

Ryann 12-16

Dean 14-14
