Rain for many on Saturday, fresh first day of fall – Boston News, Weather, Sports

We’ll continue to see showers for the rest of Friday, especially over southeastern Massachusetts, where most of the rain will stay overnight. Cloud cover will also prevent any significant cooling, with lows between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.

More rain is forecast for Saturday. Rain will be scattered or isolated in central Massachusetts, but showers will be fairly regular in eastern Massachusetts.

This means that temperatures will remain somewhat cooler, with highs of between 15 and 18 degrees. However, due to the stormy northeast wind, it will feel significantly cooler.

During the night into Saturday, there will be more and more isolated rain. However, the clouds will remain. The lowest temperatures will fall to 10 to 12 degrees Celsius inland and to 10 to 12 degrees Celsius near the water.

Clouds and scattered drizzle will remain until Sunday morning. However, we will see more and more sunshine in the late afternoon. This will bring a slight warming to temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees, which is still relatively cool for this time of year.

On Sunday, the first day of astronomical autumn, it will still be slightly windy.

On Monday it will be partly sunny with highs between 18 and 20 degrees. On Tuesday it will be rather cloudy with highs between 18 and 20 degrees. Our next rainy period is expected to begin mid to late next week.

Remember, this rain is definitely needed. We’re already missing about 2 inches for Boston and Worcester this month alone. However, the Cape and Islands have been pretty soaked lately.
