OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Our recent trend of above-average temperatures continues Friday, with temperatures rising to near 90 degrees this afternoon.
One difference is that the humidity will be significantly lower.
With a big game in Lincoln tonight, it will be a bit warm at Memorial Stadium.
After 10 p.m. there is a slight chance of storms south of I-80 and especially closer to the Kansas border.
Although we will probably be able to broadcast the entire game tonight without any problems, an isolated thunderstorm towards the end cannot be completely ruled out.
There will still be a risk of isolated thunderstorms in the first half of Saturday, but there will also be many dry hours.
This is the window of time when it is most likely to remain dry on Saturday or Sunday.
Although it will rain only very irregularly on Saturday, it will remain warm and humid with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees.
As Saturday progresses, there will be more frequent rain showers and thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoon and evening.
The heaviest rain is expected to fall on the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Scattered rain showers are expected for the rest of Sunday, and even some persistent showers are possible on Monday morning.\
When all is said and done, rainfall across much of the region is expected to be between 2.5 and 5 centimeters.
Our temperatures will only reach the mid-60s on Sunday; that’s a 25 degree drop from today!
Next week is expected to be dry, with highs consistently around 21 degrees and lows around 10 degrees.
