Temperatures will remain hot in parts of Nebraska on Thursday

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – Parts of Nebraska will experience above-average temperatures Thursday and Friday. A large storm system will move into the Plains late Friday and Saturday, bringing cooler temperatures and a high chance of rain for Saturday and Sunday.

On Thursday afternoon it will be mostly sunny, windy and hot with maximum temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius. South wind 16 to 24 km/h with gusts up to 40 km/h.

Thursday night into Friday morning will be mostly clear and cooler, with lows ranging from 4 to 10 degrees Celsius across the state.

On Friday it will be mostly sunny and hot again in southeastern Nebraska. Highs will be between 27 and 32 degrees.
