Today, Scott Stapp released a brand new music video for his single “Black Butterfly” from his latest album. Higher Power.
This is cause for celebration, as the single just rose to No. 19 on the Active Rock charts, after the title track “Higher Power” reached the top 10 earlier this year and peaked at No. 8 in March.
The success of the Higher Power The album continues to mark a stellar year for Stapp, as the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter has returned to the spotlight with multiple projects and, of course, the return of Creed.
““Growth is challenging, change can be uncomfortable, and personal loss can be devastating. We’ve all been there. Fight through it. I’ve learned that the ‘next level’ of self-awareness is knowing what you’re capable of and not being defined by your worst experiences.” Stapp explains.
For “Black Butterfly,” Stapp commissioned video and motion graphics specialist Scott Kennedy of 12 Inch Media, a company based in Glasgow, Scotland, to create the video. “When ‘Black Butterfly’ came on the radio, I wanted to share a new image. Scott (Kennedy) didn’t sacrifice artistic quality for speed. When we made the final cut, it felt like the beginning of a whole new chapter,” he explains.
